2D Pixel Artist Mid – Senior Level

 

We are looking for a 2D Pixel Artist Mid – Senior Level to join our team.

💡 A 2D pixel art portfolio is required in order to evaluate the application.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of art, elements/props, characters, scenery, tiles, parallax elements, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the art team and other departments, such as design and programming.
  • Adapt and contribute work to the art director’s guidelines.
  • Be able to adapt and optimize the creations based on the needs of the project.

 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in video game development as a pixel artist.
  • Have participated in the artistic design of at least one video game previously.
  • Portfolio showcasing production-quality pixel art created for shipped or commercially released games is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of the artistic pipeline of a videogame project.
  • Ability to implement and adapt feedback.
  • Good teamwork in artistic creation.
  • Adobe Photoshop and/or Aseprite.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Creation of concept art, sketches and preliminary work of environments.
  • Be able to work with agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the basic elements of level design and its relation with art.
  • English, minimum B1 (desirable B2 or higher).

 

Additional information

  • Type of contract:
    • Long term position. 40 hours/week contract.
    • From 36k euros gross annual salary, commensurate with experience.
    • We are based in Tenerife and Seville. For this role, we have a preference for candidates located in or able to work from our Seville office, though remote work is also available.
